Teplitz - Bessarabia
This website deals with the municipality of Teplitz in Bessarabia, which existed from 1817 to 1940! For more information about Bessarabia, please visit: www.bessarabien.de  My ancestors settled there from the foundation to the more or less forced emigration. Like most of the Bessarabian Germans, they were settled in Poland in 1941 and had to flee in spring 1945. Many of the former Germans from Bessarabia settled back in Baden-Württemberg after the fleeing. The former Teplitz colonists emigrated originally came from there. An extensive collection of information on the Germans from Bessarabia, the communities, families and the reasons for emigration can be found at the Bessarabian German Association in Stuttgart. This is a very active organization with over 2000 members. They cultivates the heritage of the Bessarabian Germans and their family history.  Take a look - it's worth it: www.bessarabien.de  In English language you can find further information under: https://library.ndsu.edu/grhc/index.html Germans from Russia Heritage Collection Bismarck, North Dakota
